Founder & President Raymond Chimezie, PhD., is a public health educator and consultant. He is the founder and President of Health for Schools and Communities Foundation; a non-profit charitable organization based in California, United States. He is a scholar-practitioner and an expert in community health access and promotion. Dr. Chimezie is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES). He is an adjunct professor of Global Health at the University of San Francisco. He has been an educator in the West Contra Costa Unified School District for over ten years during which he devoted much time to promoting health and wellness of students and advocated for continued teaching of health education and promotion in the school district. Dr. Chimezie volunteers with the Contra Costa Medical Response Corp as an emergency responder and also serve on the advisory board of the Ethnic Health Institute of California. Dr. Chimezie is also a 1st Lt. and the Drug Demand Program Reduction Officer ( Civil Air Patrol) United States Air Force Auxiliary. He has presented at national and international symposia on access to healthcare. Dr. Chimezie was an awardee of the 2016 U.S. Fulbright Scholarship for teaching and research to Sub-Saharan Africa where he conducted research on the prospects and challenges of introducing Advance Nursing Practice in the Nigeria health system.
For the past six years Kristen has worked in the field of cancer. From in-patient support to developing out-patient services Kristen has dedicated her time to helping others. She has worked at Stanford Children’s as a Care Coordinator in Pediatric Oncology and Hematology at UCSF assisting Sickle Cell patients. Her current role is with the American Cancer Society as Project Director educating the community about the perils of tobacco use.
She completed her Masters of Public Health at the University of Southern Mississippi and is currently seeking a Doctorate of Health Administration at the University of Phoenix. Kristen’s future goal is continue working in cancer from a health disparity lens to increase health equity for marginalized communities.
Vitalis N. Ugochukwu, EA, MS (Tax), is a tax accountant. He is a Supervising Auditor-Appraiser in the Business Personal Property, Marine and Aircraft Division of the Office of the Assessor, Alameda County, California. He has more than 20 years experience in property tax assessment. His expertise includes, but is not limited to assessment and taxation of the following industries - biotechnology, biopharmaceutical, healthcare, commercial and fractional airlines, semiconductor manufacturing, automobile manufacturing, wind farms, billboards, etc. Mr. Ugochukwu is also the principal of Tax Matters Professionals, a tax consultancy firm in Vallejo, California.
Chidozie Chimezie, MD is a physician with a background in economics. He is passionate about delivering healthcare to the under-served.
